1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site that operates independently of government. It does not store official criminal records, submit filings, obtain records for visitors, or conduct official criminal-history checks.

Its role is to identify custodians of Roosevelt County records, including the Sheriff's Office, Detention Center, criminal courts, New Mexico Department of Public Safety, and New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect visitors with outside search services.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

• Use site information to threaten, stalk, or harass a person
• Violate any applicable local, state, or federal law
• Rely on site content for a housing, employment, credit, or insurance decision
• Use a bot, scraper, or other automated process against these pages
• Attempt unauthorized access to the site's systems or data
• Interfere with performance or prevent another visitor from using the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information found here or through a linked tool to intimidate, harass, stalk, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Misuse may also violate the law. New Mexico imposes particular limits on the use of New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry information, and misuse involving a listed person may carry criminal penalties. Registry information is published for public safety awareness, not vigilante conduct, blacklisting, or discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Roosevelt County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not produce consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Its advertising partners likewise do not offer tools intended to screen applicants, assess rental requests, set insurance rates, or evaluate creditworthiness. You agree not to use site or linked-tool data to:

• Set insurance premiums or assess creditworthiness
• Make a hiring or termination decision
• Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
• Decide eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
• Carry out any other activity governed by the FCRA

Any check required for a regulated purpose must come from an authorized official channel or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General explanations of Roosevelt County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement law applies to a particular matter. Seek advice from an attorney licensed in New Mexico.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are offered "as is." We make no promise that:

• An outside search service will return complete or accurate results
• Content will always be current, complete, or correct
• The website will remain available without interruption
• Every page will be free of bugs, mistakes, or security flaws

Criminal records can change when charges are filed or dismissed and when records are corrected or expunged. Updates may not appear here at once. No site statement should be treated as an official representation from a Roosevelt County office, court, sheriff, or New Mexico agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may point to sheriff pages, judicial portals, New Mexico agencies, legal resources, or third-party search services. Following a link takes you to a service outside our control. We are not responsible for its content, data practices, prices, terms, or availability. Review the destination's terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, logos, graphics, and code are owned by Roosevelt County Criminal History or its content partners. You may not reproduce, distribute, alter, or create derivative works from that material without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from use of the site, including reliance on information found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless against claims, actions, or demands resulting from your use of the site or your violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

New Mexico law governs these terms, and a dispute related to site use must be brought in a court located in New Mexico. For government records, the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act appears at Sections 14-2-1 through 14-2-12 NMSA 1978. Verified access to a person's own state arrest-record information is addressed by Section 29-10-6 NMSA 1978. Those statutes govern official records and do not make this private site a government custodian.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A revision becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may suspend, restrict, or end access to the site at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be adjusted only to the extent needed to make it enforceable.
